The answer is yes. Saturday morning John was in the pool with Marnie & was doing a quiet, slow, relaxing whirl pool. And you know what....she fell asleep...in the pool...holding onto her ball.

Look Who's Baaaack!

After three days away with the Yearwood/Schloicka clan Marnie came home yesterday afternoon and let's just say...we've got a Stage 1 Clinger. I guess she missed us! Now we have Kaelyn & Maddie staying with us until Sunday. It's supposed to be 105 degrees in Fairfield today...looks like we'll all be in the pool.

Picking Names

Since Marnie is out of our hair, I mean with the Yearwood/Schloicka clan for a few days, John & I made sure to make the best of it. So we went out to dinner last night to a cool little taco bar in Fairfield & then headed to our faithful Avellino's for dessert.
What's better than coming up with baby names while eating tiramisu & banana chenga?

Uhhhh...not much.

Who's Idea Was This??

After we got together with the family on Sunday we left Marnie with the Yearwood/Schloicka clan for a few days. Robyn promised she would post some pics to her blog so John & I could see what Marnie was up to. Here is her post from today:

I had a great idea!!! Let's call Amy and tell her I want to take a few days off work to spend with Marnie......she actually said yes! WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING?

She tried to park her butt in every basket in my house! Even ones that are obviously too small, which never ends pretty!


She harasses the kitties, all I could get on camera was her chasing the cats. None of them ever stood still long enough to take a picture!

Lunch & Double Trouble Day II

Sunday was round II of surprising our families so off to Warwick we went to have lunch. I brought dessert- a coconut cake with an A & a B on the top & pink frosting on the inside. When it was time to dig in we announced that we knew the sexes of the babies and that when you cut into the 2 different sides of the cake either pink or blue frosting would appear, revealing the sexes for Baby A & Baby B. Two cuts later & all they saw was pink!!! Ahahaha...

Pool Party & Double Trouble Day I

Since we knew we were having a family party on Saturday, John & I begged our doctor to set up an early ultrasound to find out the sexes of the babies, this way we could surprise everyone at the party. In Guadagno style, we made sure to make it fun! So we had the tech write down the sexes of the babies & seal them in 2 yellow plastic easter eggs. We decided we would find out what we were having along with everyone else at the party. Nobody knew that we had found out the sexes so it would be a complete surprise! We hid the first egg in a shark pinata & had the oldest to youngest at the party have a whack at the pinata. We only made it through a few people before the egg flew out. Baby A is a girl!!!!! After that we resumed the party- which ended up being the perfect day for a pool party. For Baby B's surprise we hid the egg in a shark watermelon we made for dessert. Baby B is a girl!!!!!

Fashionista

This morning while I was in my closet getting ready for work Marnie was busy playing with my shoes. She picked out a yellow pair & I said to her "do you want me to wear those today?" and she she said "ya" and shook her head up & down. So I sat down on the floor & told her to put them on me..which she did! Then I asked her "do they look good with my outfit?" and she nodded her head yes again.
Well guess what people, they totally matched my outfit & thanks to my little 14 month old kid I look good today! Wonder what she'll dress me in tomorrow!

See, my sweater has yellow in it...the shoes totally match the cardigan & black dress I wore.
